Come and have tea with the Older People’s Commissioner

I have organised a special event with Sara Rochira, the Older People’s Commissioner for Wales, on Friday 25th September 2015. It’s at Rhydypennau Library,  from 2pm to 4pm and its an opportunity to ask her questions and share your views.

The Older People’s Commissioner is an independent voice and champion for older people across Wales, standing up and speaking out on their behalf. The Commissioner’s work is driven by what older people say matters most to them and their voices are at the heart of what she does.

The Commissioner works to make Wales a good place to grow older – not just for some, but for everyone. Her Office

  • Promotes awareness of the rights and interests of older people in Wales.

  • Challenges discrimination against older people in Wales.

  • Encourages best practice in the treatment of older people in Wales.

  • Reviews the law affecting the interests of older people in Wales.
