The food co-op is a way of buying fresh fruit and vegetables in your community, whilst supporting local business. They are run weekly by volunteers from a community venue.

Produce sold through food co-ops comes directly from local suppliers such as farmers, retailers, or wholesalers, who select fresh fruit and vegetables according to seasonality, availability and value.

Food co-ops are welcoming, fun and open to everyone! Simply turn up, order your bags, pay, then collect your fresh produce the following week.

How to order:

Customers can go along to their chosen food co-op at the allocated time/day and place their order one week in advance with the volunteer running the food co-op. Customers can order as many or as few bags as they want and must pay for their bags at the time of ordering. The customer then goes along the following week to collect their bags, and may order for the following week at the same time if they want to. Bag prices can vary according to supplier, area, and bag size, and an average fruit, vegetable or salad bag costing in the region of £2.50 - £4.00
