Welsh Water have committed to help customers pay their water bill with their new scheme 'HelpU'. It is designed to help low income households who struggle to make ends meet.
How it works:
To qualify, your households total income needs to be £15,000 or less per year. This means the total amout of money that is received by everyone living in your home. This includes any paid work or benefits such as Pension Credit, Carer's Allowance etc.
If you qualify, Welsh Water will lower your bill depending on your income, which could be up to £250 per year.
If your application is successful, the reduced charge will be applied to your account from 1st April or your occupation date.
